Kaziranga

Kaziranga is home to the largest population of Great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros, Wild Asiatic Water Buffalo and hundreds of other species. It is a UNESCO heritage site and famous for rehabilitating one horn Rhino which was on the verge of extinction once. Apart from the above species Great Indian Hornbill, Western Hoolock Gibbon, and Eastern Swamp Deer are the other show stoppers of the park. The park spreads across a total area of 1090 sq km and is divided into 5 zones.

Why In April?

In April almost all the zones receive a good amount of drizzle which gives the forest a fresh canopy of greenery. Images taken in April will have a soothing vibe to them. There is ample chance of having rain fall during safari time which will enable participants to shoot exclusive images and video of One horned Rhinoceros, Elephant, Asiatic Buffalo etc. enjoying in rain. It opens up a different creative angle for participant to play with their shutter speed to create jaw dropping images. Even a simple scene of a hog deer crossing through gypsy tracks looks visually appealing as the greenery have taken over the Jungle. This is the last opportunity to do safari in the Kaziranga as the park get closed from May to October due to advent of Monsoon.
